Default fyi - that squeak is caused by an improper tightening sequence of the suspension.

and there should be no clunk.

Default I'm interested in this. Can you explain more about the correct tightening sequence?...

I have done my share of suspension swaps, and never had a problem and I've never screwed with sequences or anything, but I have never done the S4. thanks

Default All the bolts that go through rubber bushings must be tightened while fully loaded.

That includes the inner bushings on all 8 control arms, and the 2 lower front shock bolts.
Then of course the rear inner upper control arm bolts, and some others back there as well.

Default Right. There was some significant follow-up to that.

Turns out it was a bad bushing that either went bad, or was ruined during the install. I wasn't super psyched with the end result from a service stand point, but it all got worked out in the end. That has nothing to do with the setup... it was more a communication issue. The actual gear is awesome, and rides great and was eventually repaired.

Tightening everything while the car was still in the air was suggested over and over and over again to me here. And maybe that is what happened, but I flat out asked Jim directly about this and he assured me that they tightened everything on the ground. Again, I love the suspension.

But now my front right is groaning and moaning... time for some CAs and/or TRs/TREs. This, I'm pretty sure is a purely a function of Boston roads. I'll be doing this myself, though.

Quick Reply: Is this a good suspension setup if i'm looking for......
