Got a CEL last night that resulted in a "Random Misfire" code

Default Got a CEL last night that resulted in a "Random Misfire" code

Anyone have a similar experience? Its happening in cylindar 6. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Any wheelspin or offroad or major bumps in road? The misfire can be mistaken.

No wheelspin...this is acutally the second time its happend on startup...no driving.

Default If you start and run a bit with engine cold and then shut-off and restart the misfire

is probably due to a bit of plug fouling. If so, I would not worry about it much. You get new plugs at the 32 K service.

Default Happened to my friend...

Started the car and then quickly shut it off. No driving. The CEL gets triggered as during cold starts, the engine is super rich.

If you let your car run a bit longer, you probably won't trigger off a CEL.

But thats the funny thing...I let it idle for 30 secs to warm up then the CEL came on...

Same thing happened here. cleared codes and they haven't returned.

Had it as well but in two cylinders. Cleared codes and they never returned.
