Default You want them to give you $110 worth of stuff?

It would have been nice, but not at all realistic.

Default Yes, hence the alternate title ECS Tuning Kicks A$$.

No, that would probably be a pretty crappy decision from a business standpoint, or would it have been? It could have meant that for $110 they would have more or less guaranteed at least one future customer and probably more, since customer service from tuning companies seems to be as valuable as gold to a lot of people.

Instead, they saved $110 and remain, in my mind, nothing special. That said, I certainly understand their decision and I'm not looking down on them because of it.

Default I'm over it now...would have been nice, but I can understand their point. Still, the "hacking"

excuse is a bit lame.

Default It could have been a good business decision if...

you were the ONLY person who took advantage of the mistake. But what if 100 other people had done so?

It would also set a precedent for future mistakes. People would point to your experience and complain about how unfairly they were treated if not given the same treatment.

Default Now I've heard it all. You want stuff for practically free....

and at a price that obviously not correct, and then you badmouth them (yes you have indirectly in the other posts) because they want to correct the mistake? Gimme a break. You're just looking for a way to screw them. Work on your integrity a little.

And if they send you an automated invoice upon ordering?

Default I'm pretty sure that they still don't have to honor it.

Common sense tells me that they don't have to honor it (just multiply a $100 transaction by 1000 people and you can see it would put a company out of business), but I do not know the exact legal issue.

Default What it makes sense financially to do, and what you are legally bound to do are often 2 dif. things.

Otherwise, people would make a lot more money

Default I agree, however you make an important destinction by caling it a mistake, they said their system

was hacked. If it was a mistake and they e-mailed me to say that, it probably wouldn't have been worth posting, that someone "hacked" their website and changed two prices is kind of funny, or at least I though.
