was a bit humorous (I guess you do not) between the "hacking" thing and getting my name wrong, that's all. I certainly never expected them to honor those prices and, as I said, I understand and I'm not looking down on them for not doing so. I'm sure they need to feed their familes and all that sort of crap.
Before you decide to attack me, do some freaking research and see that I'm not one to bad mouth a tuner, shop or dealer or whatever. I placed the order yesterday just to see what would happen, all of a sudden I'm the bad guy because I'm trying to rip them off? It was on their goddamn site.
Anyway, I'm over it.

One message says "I certainly never expected them to honor those prices"
And another one says "while I reserve the right to sue, I'm probalby not going to right now"

Consumer protection laws in most states are very specific about it... in the case of a pricing error, the lower price prevails. (ie, if the price for an item on a shelf is marked lower than the scanner, they have to give you that price, even if its mismarked). If a computer glitches and a product is offered for a price that is too low, any attempts to buy the product for that price, in most cases, must be honored.
Both Amazon and I believe Buy.com got sued, tried to use your argument that the customer asking to purchase the product is the offer, not the advertised price, and both companies lost... not because the consumer isn't the one making the offer to purchase, but because it doesn't matter. Consumer protection laws trump contract law in EVERY case. And in the vast majority of states, consumer protection laws exist for precisely this situation.

It does vary by state, but incorrect prices do not need to be honored.
It's funny that you bring up Amazon. They seem to have pricing glitches all the time that they don't honor (maybe that's why the lawsuit - they were too often??).
In order to win the lawsuit, there would need to be some proof of deliberate price "mistakes"...kind of like a bait and switch.
