Default Got a nice e-mail from ECS Tuning. ;-)

Hello Richard [my name isn't Richard]

Your order #952 was placed after our system was hacked into & the pricing was changed on a few items. Obviously the CD Manuals are not .99 & the 5pack filter kit is not $2.46. The proper price before the hack & now is $69.97 & $41.95 respectively. We cannot & will not sell the kit for the prices that is on your Order #. If you would like to reorder it for the proper $ we would be happy to sell it to you.

Thanks for understanding
Tom

Well, you can't blame me for trying; would have been HERO Status if they had honored it though.

Default Hey, if they don't have an explicit pricing disclaimer on their site...

Advertised price is advertised price...

Order an N75 from them and then tell them its defective because someone hacked into their warehouse and filed off the serial number for the stock audi part they sold you for twice the price ;-)

Default I think legally they are supposed to honor that price unless they have a disclaimer.

Hacked into? Sure..sounds like they made it a mistake and are blaming it on the hacking gremlins who change prices on tuning websites.

Yeah, if that's true, I'm actually a little put off by it.

Default BTW I see no disclaimer. Id call them.

I bet it was a mistake. The fact that they are probably lying about that rather than telling the truth would make me want to make it an issue. Who would hack in and just change a few prices??
