Got Pulled Over Tonight (San Jose PD)

This happened on a City Street. I was in slow lane. If you, or anyone, ride my tail for a significant amount of time, I will tap my brakes. If I was on the freeway, I would move over long before you could ride my tail, because I use mirrors. Did my brakes lock up? No. Did the cop lock hers up? No. I did nothing illegal. I have a right to hit my brakes if I want.
I think the point here is that the cop pulled me over for no real reason, and hoped I would comply. I won't. If I get pulled over for really doing something wrong, I will take the ticket. I never cursed at the cop. I expressed my opinion by telling her she was doing a bad job. Seems some of you made assumptions based on my comments, just like she did in looking at my car.
I do however agree that the lady cop probably has more hair on her ***...

about her ***...
Assumptions made based on your comments...maybe. Tapping brakes on ANY tailgater a good idea...probably not.
MY point is, that had she been distracted when you tapped your brakes, and she rear-ended you, true it would have been her fault for being too close but you would have had a world of a mess on your hands.
Likewise if it was anyone else who was behind you. And while the worst that would have come from her hitting you would probably have been a ticket for everything she could conjure up, had it been some nutjob instead...who knows what goofy things could have resulted. This world isn't as simple as it used to be.
Just be more selective in your response...she was only doing her job and in the real world can pull you over for whatever reason she pleases.

Now that's a scary thought.
We all have our rights, don't give those up just because a cop says that you have to. They're charged with protecting those rights, not taking them away.
