It was my first time out to an event as homebrew stage 3. I turned boost down to a 16 psi peak in order to keep my K04s happy and to make sure I paid more attention to my line than making up for my mistakes with raw power.
The car performed flawlessly, but was getting quite warm (coolant guage 1-2 ticks past half and oil temps slighty past half).
I ran Pagid Orange pads up front and they felt pretty solid. It took me a while to really gain confidence in them, though. The pedal had a lot of give to it, which made me think they were starting to fade. However, I gave it a little more pedal the last 2 sessions and they definitely were still there.
Like last time, I ran in the yellow group (intermediate). Other cars in my run group were a modified red GT2 (I used to think it was a normal 996TT, but got a nice view of the badge on the rear today as I chased him around for several laps), my dad's basically stock 996tt (short shifter ;p), and many carreras/boxters. Basically, my dad, the red GT2, and I chased eachother around the track all day while passing everyone else.
I forgot my camera this morning, but here are pictures of my dad's car, my car, and the red GT2 at the track from last time:

Today was by far my best day at the track. The first session, I was a bit rusty and had to get the lines down again. After that, I never looked back. My last 3 sessions kicked royal ***. I started the last 3 sessions behind my dad and the GT2 so I could chase them around. The 3 of us were basically running the same lap times, nobody making up much distance on the other. Nobody passed any of us, but we were constantly passing the rest of the run group on the back straight. On the last 2 sessions, the 3 of us ran solo and just went at eachother. I look forward to eventually passing them. ;-)

I like reading about these track stories...I plan on doing them when I can (Army has orders on us not to do "dangerous stuff" like bungee jump, skydive, race...kinda BS cuz this racing is safer than driving down the road with morons during the day).
Why is that GT2 being towed? Is it really necessary?
Definetly get more pics next time you go!

Also, alignment settings might be horrible for the street. May have cage/race seats making it uncomfortable to get in and out of or for long distances. Might be running slicks. Room for lotsa other stuff (tent, chairs, food, drinks, spares) in the truck. Etc, etc, etc...
