Here's a tip:
Get 35 grand saved up and go to tuner village, HPA, and buy the full model HPA R32. something like 500+ horsepower, this thing owns and is only like 32k. Then, go into "special conditions" events and go to the second race from the top. Use the R32 to beat this course in each event (forward and reverse) and they give you a toyota rally car which can sell for over 200 grand (I think it may be worth close to 250).
What I did is use the rally car they give you to completely dominate the races again, and win another rally car (you need to clear out the trophies to win the car again). Then, cash that one in, and keep the first rally car to do the races over and over again. Makes alot of money for only 2 races.
I now have so much money, I bought the used '98 S4 for the hell of it.

Just click "Ok" when it asks you to.
If you re-enter the races again, a little window pops up saying something like "to win this event again, you must clear your previous records." Hit Ok and you can win the car again.

I won it easily, sold it and bought an RS4-- souped the hell out of it, and am kicking ***. What a great game.

This is the best tip. Just keep selling this rally car at $266k a pop.
Then buy what ever you want too.
I personally am using a 950hp Pitworks 350Z to dominate all.
Now if I could only keep back tires on it...
