Default GS400 cruising on the Westbound 105 in LA...(long)

Late saturday night, I was cruising on the 105's fast lane from Norwalk to the 405 in light traffic. I was doing maybe 73mph. Ahead of me I spotted a black GS400 acting weird. He was doing 60-85mph windsprints in his car in the fast lane. He saw my fogs and HIDs behind him and pulled over to the #2 lane to slow down. I slowed down to 65 to avoid him but eventually I could only go so slow and pulled along side him minding my own business. The Asian driver matched my pace and lowered his window, waving his hand at me, trying to get my attention. I didn't make eye contact, just fiddled with my radio trying to look nonchallant. Realizing I wasn't looking, he zoomed 3-4 car lengths ahead and then slowed down until I pulled along side again. I didn't even blip the throttle - I was just going at my own slow pace. He was clearly trying to gall me into a street race.

A slow car in the fast lane was a 1/2 mile ahead, so I zoomed ahead @ 80-85mph, catching the GS400 off-guard and moving ahead around 6 car lengths, switched into his lane, waited a few seconds, passed the slow car, then switched back into the #1 lane, and then slowed down to 73mph. That completely boiled the GS400 owner's blood and he zoomed up my ***, switched between every conceivable lane to pass me in a little grouping of traffic.

After coming out of the traffic, he drew along side me again. This time I was cruising at 75mph. Again he tried to get my attention, which I didn't give him. Then he slowed down and dropped way behind me, repeating his little game with other cars.

I wish I could put a LED sign on my car that would tell people that I'm not going to race anyone on a freeway or city street, with the exception of traffic light to traffic light contests where the speed doesnt exceed 45-50 and I can enjoy a little Avant tomfoolery with Camaros, BMWs, S2000s, etc. Street racing sucks...nothing good comes out of it.

I can't say that I still don't wonder if would my stock S4 could have beat the GS400. What do you guys think?

Is there some particular reason you had to mention the driver was Asian?

Default Ignoring him a little eye contact goes a long way. I'm not saying he is

That would make me think he was trying to be smart a$$, maybe I'm wrong but think about this.
If the S was an M3 and you were the GS400 how would you post that story here?

Exactly.. I don't want to make it sound like he had to race him, but just wave and move on.

Agreed. Just acknowledge the other guy. He gets message, waves back, leaves you alone.

Sounds like this guy knows you or wants to talk. You have no "Asian" friends perhaps?

Default i've raced a GS400....

it was a friends, slightly modded. we did a rolling 25mph run to 110mph and i had a car length on him and never looked back.

a rolling 75mph run would've been cool though... wish i had your luck!
