I assume they can be had in 18" would they clear the StopTech brakes.
I'm on the fence now...I bought the PES wheel and have decided to send them back for personal reasons. In anticipation of using that wheel I prematurely bought tires (Bridgestone S03 PP in 225/40/R18) now I'm already getting screwed on shipping both ways to the tune of like $140 bux...so the last thing I wanna do is eat shipping to send back tires too.
I need a wheel...which will clear my brakes, is reasonably light, comes in 18x8 and doesn't cost a meelion bux...something around $500 each would be acceptable...hopefully a little south of that figure. Anyone care to suggest some wheels?
I hear the CH really doesn't rub despite being 8.5" is this true? If I got the CH...which I am fond of...I'd probably have to send my tires back and get 235's right? Or will 225 cover that wheel properly in spite of them being 8.5" wide?
I know this is something of a wheel tire question...but it seems posts hardly get any action over there unless you alert people that you've posted it...which is just as bad as posting it here...so have mercy on my soul ;-)

James R.

..the BBS CH is a great choice, and the recommended tire size for an 18*8.5 is 225/40/18 accroding to tire rack for you A4, so your set, and they come in under $500/each at $415/wheel.
Also, I can assure you that the TE37's will cost much more than 500/each at 18"'s, however, Im not 100%, you might want to contact Vic at Wheeloptions, he has a wide array of both European and Japanese wheels that may suit you needs, check him out, the website is:

BTW, I am in no way shape or form affiliated w/ any business, just personal opinion.

I noticed TireRack claims 225 is fine...but I tried 225's on a 8.5" rim before and didn't like what I saw...though it was the some what questionable Ronal R-28 on my old A4...which had a monster lip on it. So maybe the CH could be made to work out...I'm trying to avoid rolling the fenders. And the wheel MUST clear my brakes for obvious reasons.

kinda discount cause Tony agreed to take them back w/o charging me a restock fee. But if you want them...I'd be delighted to sell them to you.
They're 18" by 8" ET35 Weigh in at 21 lbs and supposed to be T7 heat treated...I have the hub centering rings...and the lugs for them. If you're serious Cheng give me a call...
You'll be saving the shipping though...and that's good for $70 or so...hell, fine...I'll give you another $70 off cause it's gonna cost me that to ship them back...so it's all a wash to me. $1200 and they're yours.

You know I want them goddamn things...soo spensie. I'm not prepared to spend $700 per wheel...I might swing a wheel that's around $450~500ish but not $2800 just for rims :-( wish I was a rich art dude ;-)
