I get an ECU Initialization Error when I try and use it. This stuff shouldn't be rocket science right?! I got a Serial VAG cable and my new laptop doesn't have a serial port. Anyone else had this problem before?

Works with serial VAG cable for lemmi, apr ecux, giac mobile tuner, apr home programmer for sure.

As long as your serial vag cable is not the old iso-com.

First you cant use the new version of VAG, gotta use the 504. Second, I bet you cant get the right port selected b/c it's USB. Well in Edyjun's directory there is a file to emulate a serial port with a USB. I also found the same files here in the archives. I was about to throw my software away too until I did that.

misconception. The serial cable will be just as fast.

lemmi or ECUx. I guess the Belkin isn't fast enough to deal with that type of datatransfer.
