Default That part # wont fit all wheels

The H&R spacer with the hubcentric flange does not fit all wheels! You may have to run a flat spacer.

All stock wheels or all wheels in general?

Default My 5's don't have this...basically, you can't use a spacer with stock wheels......

and do it very safely. The stock Avus design wheel will not be resting on the hub if you use a spacer of 5mm or more. It has to do with the design of the wheel, not the spacer. The WHEEL HUB is tapered such that the flat (non-tapered) part of the wheel hub won't get onto the axle hub if a spacer is used, thus the wheel is not actually resting on the axle hub. It will still work becuase it will be held in by the bolts, but I question the safety of this. I guess you have to go look at the wheel to see what I mean. Try resting the wheel onto the axle hub with a spacer and no bolts....it won't work. it will keep sliding off due to the fact that only the tapered portion of the wheel can make contact with the axle hub if you have a 5mm or greater spacer in place.

The non-tapered side (wider opening) goes towards the hub.

The elevated lip of the spacer goes into the wheel.

Default Re: My 5's don't have this either.......

I actually had one of the wheels on with a spacer and that is what raised the question. It seemed to go on ok, only the wheel was no longer resting on the axle hub. This did not seem very safe. So I guess that my question is that if I should return these spacers or run them with the wheels floating....if there are no other options for the stock wheels.

Is anyone else running spacers in this way?

Thanks

That is the problem, there is no elevated lip, only a depression.
