Wouldn't go beyond 5mm without a hubcentric lip. Indentation to the hub if you decide to.
As a general rule, torque the bolts to spec with the wheel off the ground to cut down risk for vibration issues. I had vibrations issues in the past using non-lipped spacers, but only in the front of the car. Just using it to fill the rear wheel better in my case. Good luck.
