They are OK for the price...
You could save money (about $500) by going with separate springs and shocks (H&R springs, Bilstein shocks)...and achieve nearly the same ride quality...but you wouldn't have as much control over ride height. If you want a real setup, go with MotorSPorts or Penske's ($$).
Some people report of higher-than-normal failure rates of the underlying Bilstein shock in the coilovers but I've had mine for about 50k miles and aren't blown.
Eibachs, Vogtland, and Stasis StreetSports are alternatives.
The H&R coilovers are definitely an improvement over stock. However, there is still dive/squat and body roll...most likely because of the moderate (450F/450R) spring rates. The shocks do a great job of damping high-speed compressions (sharp pot holes, quick bumps in the road, etc) which is why they make for a good city/street setup but they are severely underdamped for low-speed compression (gradual undulations in road taken at, say, 80 mph on the hwy cause the car to porpoise). The porpoising and dive/squat are my two biggest complaints.
