I'm looking for little feedback on H&R sport springs. I went to a shop listed as an AWE dealer and he said he wouldn't sell H&R because of "poor quality". Is this true? I can't find any negative postings here on AW. I really have my heart set on the grooved body Bilsteins. What are my best options for springs, besides coilovers?

I bought them for my S4 because of the good experience I had with my VR6 GTI. They may be a bit low for some peoples tastes. Check my picture post for an example of the height.

there are tons of problem reports, and h&r has been very unresponsive in dealing with those problems. in general, skip the springs and get coilovers.

H&R in general makes very good quality products.
For the S4 application they are a bit on the lower side.
Vogtland Club springs aren't quite as low, and are a great alternative.

Some early versions of the Bilsteins sold for the S4 do not have enough damping to control the springs, thus the floaty/bouncy feel. YMMV.
