People have had luck with NAPA axles for DSM's that I know of. People have had what you sated happen to them at Autozone and the like (very quick failures). I would feel better with raxles axles anyways.

<center><img src="http://www.centralvalleyspeed.com/photogallery/albums/userpics/10001/3-21-06_002.jpg"></center><p>jaybquick has broken 2 in the past year when we were at sacramento raceway. the actualy "shaft" part is weak because its hollow inside and not solid like the rears. im thinking the ones off the audi 100 must be solid and we are looking into upgrading soon and not worrying about breaking them at the track anymore. we were also thinking of even engineering some custom ones and sell them one day...

I doubt 100's are solid. C4 S4's are not solid.
