Default Has anybody tried "emachineshop.com" - they custom make parts

from all kinds of materials after you have made a drawing on their custom CAD software.

I played with their software for a bicycle part i needed, but passed: too much $$$ for one-off

Default i've heard that, like all machines shops, turn around is 8-12 weeks.

this doesnt surprise me, because thats typical machine shop turnaround. just dont expect to order and have the part show up UPS 3 days later.

i was looking at $175 to set up die, $50 materials. bought off-the-shelf for $20 and used my dremel

Default no faceplate> heat gun, heat center console, push in, perfect fit -> write up next week

i have already experimented on friend's A6 works like a charm cheap and still OEM.

Default heat the edges of the opening you mean? pull them "inward"? psyched about this. wallet hiding tho

the crinkly black portion in this picture on L/R?

BTW, this is my NEW head unit (number 3) and they all come with that "new" finish now. don't match.
