Has anyone added the headlight adjustment **** to their auto-leveling system?
All of the posts Ive found on this subject seem to be quite old (like this one for example).
European (and mexican) Audis have a small headlight adjustment **** that allow them to fine-tune their headlight angle.
ECS sells a kit for the VW's...but Im not gonna go that route.
My day at work is going really really slow, so Im getting all sorts of crazy ideas like 'hmm...it'd be really cool if the ambient LED's were brighter' and 'I'd really like to be able to adjust my headlight height while driving'.

I have it and the lower knee bolster, but I never did the mod.
Searching on it seemed to be a dead end for me too. BTW, you'll have to move your VAG/OBDII port elsewhere to do it. Mine was relocated to the rear ashtray.

hmmm....thanks
If I dont do the euro knee bolster, could I (ghetto) mount it elsewhere?
I found an old post on B5 A4 from a guy that was doing the same thing (with Audi auto-leveling motor, but rigging up his own rheostat for the adjustment ****). Hopefully he still checks the email address listed for his user ID.

Update:
After doing some more research, I found that someone was working on this in the B5 A4 forum. A guy by the name of 'AudiMods' rigged up his own system. Someone else bought the OEM switch but never installed it. They dont remember much about the install, however.
He is selling me his switch/****.
I also did some more searching on the S4 forum (found a thread started by SmokinS4 a few months ago and then found a few from 2 years ago). I've got an idea of how it works, but until I see the connectors on the switch/**** its all speculation.
My guess is that the switch/**** is a simple rheostat that controls two signals and simply needs to be wired in series with the existing auto leveling system.
The only complicated things will be:
-Figuring out what wires go to what leads
-Running the full length cables into the car
-Mounting the switch/****.
For the mounting, there are a few options:
-European knee bolster (its listed at ~95bux from world impex, but shipping will be expensive. This also adds a nice storage compartment, but you have to relocate or ghetto mount your VAG connector.
-Custom mount it in your US knee bolster (perhaps a high end Audio shop can do this.
-Ghetto mount it somewhere (no thanks).

I will hopefully be getting it soon
The part number is: 8D0 941 301 B 01C
You should be able to order it from an OEM reseller (worldimpex.com lists it in stock at $44).
I paid the guy via paypal for the switch this morning, hopefully he will ship it soon.
Im emailing back and forth about this with my father, who is an engineer and an S4 owner. He goes to europe fairly regularly and knows a lot of people there, so I am hoping that we can get someone over there to take a look at how the system operates in their car.
