My car came equipped with the Bose factory system and I added two JL audio subs powered by a separate amp. Unfortunetely, it appears that the Bose amp has failed and now my dealership claims they can't replace it because my system has been "altered". Is it really possible for a seperate amp that powers my subwoofers to cause the Bose amp to fail? TIA

Not really. They aren't even connected. Did you use line-outs for RCAs ??

except you don't need that line converter there are already low levels at the bose amp

I think that they are

brown
grey
white
yellow green

but it has been almost a year and a half since I have done it.
