I can see from the Forum search, that nobody has posted a successful install. Any updates?

Well, I just checked into this a little last week and the major stumbling block to using the on-board wiring is that the Morotola kit (S6965) does not provide a muting line which is necessary (at least on the Bose system) to activate the headliner mike.

I have a Motorola Timeport hands-free kit in my '01 S4 6-speed. It works with the Bose radio - the speaker and microphone are separate (not through the radio speaker), but hidden well, and it mutes the radio when I make a call or one comes in, and puts in back on when I disconnect. The cradle is really small too, so it stays out of the way. Its a standard Motorola kit - it was put in my dealer, Audi of Mendham (NJ), so I don't know much more than that. But there is a factory kit out there that will fit your bill.

I was told by the dealership that the stock wiring is for the analog phones and cannot be used with the Motorola digital phones. This is why the factory hands-free phone option is such a piece of crap.
