Default not hard, but alignment for prop shaft has to be PERFECT

or else you'll get vibrations.

Not from Audi. It's actually a BMW part.

Default the support bearing is available from blauparts.com for

$160 which is overpriced. Check out powertrainindustries.com p/n 2580-20 for $133 or get it off eBay. Also, DaveNew may still have one for sale.

Default I thought that I needed one but it actually turned

out to be the whole prop shaft that was bad, specifically the center U-joint. If you do need a whole shaft, powertrain industries can help you out with that as well, p/n 2594-129 for $519 direct.

Wholesaleimportparts.com carries them as well for like $420 (hehe), but I was skeptical of them. My new shaft came from powertrain industries through Fleet Pride Inc. for like $450 with tax and ship.

Let me know if you have any ? I'll be more than glad to help.

Default the holes in the center support mount are slightly oblong..

allowing for some side-to-side movement, therefore requiring the shaft to be properly aligned. From what I can tell this is hit or miss.

I am having this problem now and plan on making some adjustments in the morning before I have to do a timing belt job a customer's S4.
