Default I bought a differential pressure sensor..

I should be able to get some pressure data comparing rs4 to asp fmic.

Default Since you're making the statement... what's the issue, how'd you

determine there's an issue, and what's so special about 20 psi of air pressure?

Default We've been seeing it for a long time now, it's all in the taper...

The RS4 IC'd cars running high boost and an MBC taper more than the AWE's or even IPP's!

Default AWE did a test between Stock vs AWE vs RS4 right?

Default Yea, that was at lower pressures... /edit

Compare logs between I think S4florida who's running IPP's and midget's car... both running MBC's and similar boost and you'll see the bar/plate car tapers less... much less.

Well, we'll see how dave's testing turns out.

Default How so? That graph could be at 17psi for all I know.

At some point there is a flow limit. RS4 cores aren't that great.

Default I did reread it and your wrong as all hell EF...

"of ~20psi through ****most**** of the rpm range." That means that the top end is likely LESS than 20, like it is on most AWE programs. That's where the airflow is peak and the taper takes place.

Default

Temperature drop curves? What does that have to do with our discussion?

Default Do we know that for sure?

Honestly, Eric... the RS4 is a narrow assed tube/fin core. It makes sense that it'll hit a flow wall rather suddenly. I'd say a 24psi car could see some significant power loss at higher flowrates.

I'll try and dig up those logs so we can discuss it further tomorrow.

Default That's a secondary measurement, not easily quantified in a "one pull" scenario like AWE has...

Unless the "one pull" was on an uber-long engine dyno or something similar.
