Default Has anyone dynoed their car on GIACs dyno?

GIAC retuned their TT chips and I was just looking for some comparison numbers.. Heres what a TT did on the dyno.. According to GIAC, stock S4s normally dyno 165-170whp..

152 whp/ 168wtq (<b>Mods: stock chip, FMIC, 2.75" catback, intake, &amp; Forge 007P DV</b>)

184 whp/ 212 wtq FMIC X.

222 whp/ 249 wtq

Default I didn't say you did, I was asking if they were..

In your post you mentioned that the dyna pac is extremely accurate therefore leading myself into believing that some dynos are inaccurate.. Since I didn't ask about the dyno pac I figured you felt the need to mention the accuracy of your dyno for a reason..

You clearly brought up accuracy for a reason and I just wanted to learn more about the different dynos, thats all...

thanks

Default Dynos are only accurate to themselves.

From the Dynapack's we've seen, they have pretty inflated numbers(most recently from a distributor's dyno session in CA). Also, their numbers seem to be fairly all over the board, like most dynos.

That is not to say that Dynapack's are less accurate than Mustang's or Dynojet's or MAHA's or Clayton's or Rototest's or Dyno Dynamic's, etc etc.

A chassis dyno is simply a measuring device that is ONLY comparable and accurate to ITSELF. Most fail to understand that.

350WHP on GIAC's dyno is not 100% comparable to our Mustang AWD dyno or to AWE's Mustang AWD dyno(in that ours may read 348WHP and AWE's might read 353WHP). However, that 350WHP on GIAC's dyno is comparable to the customer's stock baseline output of 240WHP; the modifications netting a gain of 110WHP. What everyone should be concerned with is the delta b/w stock and each modification. That is what a dyno is good for.

HTH.
