Has anyone else found their ecu box painted shut by the dealer

Default I never said it was "unreasonable" or even that it was my car.

I was asking if other people have seen similar incidents after having turbos replaced.

After removing the other 4 screws, just pull up gently from the front and you'll have enough room.

Default really? i had to pull out my ecu to route the hose for my boost gauge...

...there are reasons to remove the ecu that have nothing to do with potentially warranty voiding activities.....what about running a power cable for a stereo install??

painting the screws or the ecu "hold down thing" doesnt mean ****! and the dealer can only prove that you have removed the ecu cover or ecu by doing this....this does not prove whether you have been chipped or not!

Yup.... same here. The electronic sensor for my Omori boost gauge is in there.

You folks need to get resourceful! Just wipe the paint off and repaint before you go in for service.
