Has anyone ever melted their front ABS sensor wire housing near the hub?

Has anyone ever melted their front ABS sensor wire housing near the hub?
I think my extended track time has radiated enough heat so that the housing on my ABS sensor wires up front (both sides) has melted such that there's now a transparent "window" and I can now see the wires inside. Tracing the wires, it looks like they run from the hub through the wheel wells, so it might be a minor PITA to swap.
Anyway, has anyone else had this problem? I'm wondering whether I can't throw some insulation over the "window" and be done with it. My ABS works fine, so I think it's just the housing that's melted.
Yes, this is a repost, but nobody responded to my last inquiry.

yeah, anyone that tracks should run some type of sheild on those wires...
...goodridge makes a couple different types of heat/fire resistant sheaths.
Or you could fab up some type of shield that bolts to the hub, kinda like the factory one.
