Has anyone ever replaced just their cluster display with one from another gauge cluster?

Default Has anyone ever replaced just their cluster display with one from another gauge cluster?
I know it's easier to swap entire clusters, but as I understand it my car had a cluster recode which converted it from T to M box, so I'm assuming an A box cluster would not work.

So, I'd prefer to just swap displays, but is that even possible?

Default Interesting..Paul D. swapped his out for an allroad cluster...
Never mentioned anything about recoding..

Hmmm, maybe I should go ask the dealer - also the mileage is saved in the cluster I think

Default Mileage is save on a chip in the cluster
If you're handy, you should be able to swap displays. There shouldn't be any issue with coding either.
