How didn't you use one? You need to take the upper parts off of the old one for the new one...

Default I went to Autozone...Rented it for $40 and when I completed the job brought it back

to Autozone and I was Credited back the $40...So yeah it was FREE. They have several tools you can rent for free*. You pay for it and when you return it, they credit you your $$

Just make sure you check the condition of the compresors!!!

They were pretty durable too

You don't need spring compressors to install CO's.

Default Yeah, you do. You need to compress the spring on the stock suspension to remove the upper

mount to put on the new ones...

Default i just undid the bolt on top of the perch, just have to be careful when you let the tension out

there isnt much tension in the audi springs compared to hondas, i do those also without compressors. Usually put them between 2 tires and let them rip. And no im not responsible if you get hurt doing it this way, its just my preference since ive done so many.
