I have 19" SSR GT3 wheels and drove in heavy rain for a few hours for the first time. Within a few minutes on the highway cruising around 75, the car started shaking like the balance was way off. Backing down to 65, the vibration would mostly go away. When I stopped at toll booths, the problem would disappear for a bit, then start up again. Really weird. Then on a gas stop, I noticed on the inside bottom of each wheel, about an inch of rain had collected in a puddle. My only guess is that after cruising for awhile, rain somehow collects inside the wheels and acts like a weight, upsetting the wheel balance. Running the car the next day in the dry, same roads, everything was fine. Has anyone else experience this with open-design wheels? I've never heard/experienced this before. It has happended twice now.

Anyone who has washed these wheels before would have noticed the puddle of water that collects on the bottom of the wheels. About an inch deep and 3-4 inches wide. I don't remember noticing water collect inside my old BBS RC wheels, although they didn't have as "open" of a design, so I may not have seen it....
