Has anyone managed to get Lemmiwinks to work with Vag com USB and windows XP?

I have a 6 month old Dell that contains 3 individual USB ports and is running XP w/SP2. I tried installing the COM port replicator on a seperate USB port as instructed and no COM port was actually created. Lemmi simply would not connect. I went so far as to uninstall the RossTech drivers and install *only* the Lemmi drivers and I still could not get the software to connect. After tooling with it for the better part of an hour I gave up.

Yeah, I'm using Lemmiwnks on one of my USB ports and VAG-C OM (and APR ECUx) on the other.

You gotta go get drivers at ftdichip.com and mess around in the device manager. Like Jason said, one port for VAG-COM, the other for Lemmi through the VAG-COM USB cable.

Yup, documented on the forums a few times now.

You should see two entries per port for both the hub and controller ie my laptop has two ports and lists 4 controller addresses with a hub for each controller addy.

No offense but Dell is not known in the industry for using the nicest of the components out there... reasons for the price advantage I guess. If you see two controllers and two hubs no matter how many USB ports you have they are all bridged together and you will have to load whatever device driver you want to use when you use different programs.

FWIW, I use VagCom and ECUX on USB1 and Lemmiwinks and VTune on USB2 on mine. Let me know if I can help troubleshoot yours...

I tried using the emulator to get Lemmi working, but ended up making Vag stop working ;p
