Can't you just adjust the existing hinge to fix the problem? Shim it or something.

Default I thought the DIY remedy was put a floor jack underneath the corner of the door

and slowly jack it up back to its original spot. Also was told this is only a temporary fix to the problem.

Default I did this on my old A4 (did not want to go through the trouble of adjusting that lower PITA hinge!

Worked great. 1/8" aluminum shim FTW! By the way, my hinge did not have any play in it, so it was definately a sagging door. If your hinge pins are worn, I would replace the hinge altogether.

Default Let me know if you find one please. I had this just go away before on my noggy.

I always thought maybe its just dirty at the hinge which makes the door feel heavy and not want to close easy.

Default That's what I wanted to see! My hinges don't seem to have any play in them, so I will try the shim

first. Thanks!

Maybe I should hammer a wood shim into the lower door gap after I get into the car.

Or just take it off all together. You live in Cali... it doesn't rain there.
