Default Has anyone seen this on the exhaust manifolds before?

It's on both of the manifolds. The bracket has a part number on it too.

Default is it welded on or just held on by the manifold studs?

Looks like that bend in it is for a line? Oil line?

Parts catalog defitely shows it, though not as a seperate part:

Default Part numbers if anyone cares: 078 253 034 BR & 078 253 033 CT

listed for RS4 and S4, same parts.

Default very interesting - I recall that audi had huge EM cracking issues with the first 2.7T engines...

I guess they justify it as a Euro only option becasue of the extended load conditions that Autobahn cars would endure..

Would make for an interesting mod....

my guess would be the the curved section is to allow for "some " expansion while still offering support.
