Default Has anyone successfully fixed the rocking seat by themselves?

I really don't trust my dealer to do anything on the car, and wanted to know how and what they did?

Default Grrrrrr.....

I'm getting ready to take my car back to the dealer to have my rocking seat fixed for the 4th time.

Grumble Grumble.

There's a guy on here who actually won arbitration with AoA to have a fix done on his seat.

This is a problem!!!!

What exactly comes loose or breaks that allows the seat to "rock"?

Default I wish I knew. I tried to get my last seat from the dealer...

but they wouldn't let me have it because they had to turn it in for warranty.

I blew this seat out in under 100 miles. That's not my fat ***, that's a defect.

Default If they have, I really NEED to know how.

Mine is BAD. I'll probably attempt to take the seat out some time this summer and see if I can come up with some way to fix the problem.

Default This time...

I'm gonna ask for a different fix than what they did last time. I'm gonna try for a whole new seat plus mounting hardware to the chassis.

I really don't wanna try to lemmon my car for a rocking seat. I'm not sure it would go over all that well. A 30k car brought down by a 1000? seat... That would be pretty funny though.

Other than a new seat frame, or a whole new seat, I really don't know what my other options are.

I don't think my dealer would go for putting RS4 seats in... guess I could try.
