Default Has anyone used Pulse plug on a STG 3 S4?

<center><img src="http://www.pulstarplug.com/images/cutaway.gif"></center><p>Q: What is a pulse plug?

A: A new ignition device that replaces spark plugs and increases peak spark current by up to 20,000 times as compared to spark plugs. Back to top

Q: Do I need to make any modifications to my car to use Pulstarâ„¢ pulse plugs?

A: No. Pulstarâ„¢ pulse plugs is a "plug and play" product with no further modifications necessary.

We specifically designed the pulse plug to fit into the same hole as your existing spark plug. When you receive your pulse plugs you will find they have them same size and shape as a standard spark plug, and are installed the same.

Simply remove your existing spark plugs according to the manufacturers recomendations and replace them with your new, fuel efficient, Pulstarâ„¢ pulse plugs and start enjoying a faster, funner car! Back to top

Q: What will Pulstarâ„¢ do to my engines main computer?

A: Nothing. Pulstarâ„¢ contains circuitry to prevent radio frequency interference (RFI) and electro-magnetic interference (EMI).

Our scientist and engineers thought of everything when they developed the Pulstarâ„¢ pulse plug. In order to have a product that could be used by every car on the market, we had to take into account a myriad of different computers.

The pulse of the Pulstarâ„¢ pulse plug is so quick, burning the fuel in the chamber completely that the intensity of the ignition spark is complete in a period of 30 billionths of a second. Back to top

Q: Will the high power of Pulstarâ„¢ plugs in any way harm my engine?

A: No. The high power of Pulstarâ„¢ pulse plugs occurs within 2 nanoseconds (30 billionths of a second), which is enough time to ignite fuel, but not enough time to overheat the combustion chamber or engine parts. Back to top

Q: Will the installation of Pulstarâ„¢ affect the warranty on my car?

A: No. The 1975 Magnuson Moss Act prevents a manufacturer from voiding a warranty based on a customer's selection of parts that the dealer does not offer. Back to top

Q: What gap setting do I use for Pulstarâ„¢?

A: If your vehicle manual calls for a gap less than .040" then use the factory recommended settings. Under no circumstance set the gap to greater the .040" regardless of the manual setting. Back to top

Q: How much performance improvement will I get after the installation of Pulstarâ„¢ in my car?

A: Pulstarâ„¢ pulse plugs will improve all aspects of combustion quality in your car. You will notice improved throttle responsiveness, more torque and better fuel economy. The amount of performance will depend on the make, model and condition of your vehicle. In general, you should expect torque to increase by 4 to 12% and realize a significant improvement in fuel economy. Back to top

Q: Why is Pulstarâ„¢ more expensive than spark plugs?

A: Pulstarâ„¢ is more expensive to make than an ordinary spark plug. It is based on a totally new principal and technology than ordinary spark plugs. As such, it has totally different components inside of it, versus only a plain metal core, and operates far differently. As a result it produces a greater amount of horsepower/torque than a conventional spark plug. It also burns the fuel/air mixture inside of a engine cylinder more completely and faster than an ordinary spark plug, thereby increasing fuel economy and reducing unburned hydrocarbons. Reduce your carbon foot print; buy Pulstarâ„¢. It actually pays for itself in 12 months or less. Back to top

Q: How long do Pulstarâ„¢ plugs last?

A: Pulstarâ„¢ plugs lasts as long as most spark plugs - about 50,000 miles depending on the condition of your vehicle and driving habits. Back to top

Q: Are Pulstarâ„¢ plugs certified under CARB?

A: Yes, Pulstarâ„¢ plugs are certified under the California Air Resources Board (CARB), our CARB number is EO622. This means that you can use Pulstarâ„¢ plugs in California and other areas that require emissions testing. Actually, if you are having trouble passing your emissions test Pulstar Plugs might give you that little extra you need to pass. Back to top

Q: Have there been any independent tests done with Pulstarâ„¢ Pulse Plugs?

A: Yes, www.sparkplugs.com has done an independent test using the Pulstarâ„¢ Plugs vs many different spark plugs in a 2005 Neon SRT-4 with great results.

Change2E85.com sells E85 conversion kits for vehichles and noticed a 5% increase in fuel economy with their conversion kit making the mileage after the kit come within 9% of the original mileage using gasoline.

Dsport Magazine tested our plugs in 2000 Acura Integra Type-R, 2004 Infiniti G35, and 2007 Mitsubishi Evolution IX and got positive results on all 3. We have the article in PDF format available for download. The article is in the March 2008 Issue # 63.

Modified Magazine has also done a test of the Pulstar plugs and really liked what they saw. They tested on a 350Z and the article can be found here for download in PDF format and is in the April 2008 issue. Back to top

Q: Are there any places I can go to get updates on product or testing data?

A: We have a blog that testing information and product updates such as new plugs for vehicles will be posted. You can click here to go there and subscribe to our RSS feed to stay up to date! Our test results page will also be updated as new cars are tested. Back to top

Default "... you should expect torque to increase by 4 to 12%" so stg 3 gains 54 lbs TQ!

Sounds like a waste of money to me, especially when they advertise this:

Q: Will the high power of Pulstarâ„¢ plugs in any way harm my engine?

A: No. The high power of Pulstarâ„¢ pulse plugs occurs within 2 nanoseconds (30 billionths of a second), which is enough time to ignite fuel, but not enough time to overheat the combustion chamber or engine parts. Back to top

....because you hear about combustion chambers overheating all the time ??
