Default Because I don't see any safety features. Where's the redundant backup incase the lifting mech fails?

There should be some sort pawl style safety latch on the legs in case something fails.

But as long as I stay under the car, if this thing were to fail the car will be fine! Kidding of course. I have plenty to live for.

I know that there are two safety mechanisms: spare nut on the main screw and a latch on the legs. But honestly, till I get it in, and examine it I will not know for sure.
