Having some problems with rubbing (and tire shredding) 235 45 18 GSD3's on 18" BBS CH
Well I had a set of Stasis Tracksports installed a couple of months back while I was on stock 17's. I swapped to my summer set up and had no real problems until the last couple of days.... for some reason my front passenger wheel has been rubbing like crazy over the smallest bumps and dips in the road. The shock feels firm on the car so I don't think it's blown or anything... So I am going to be raising the car to 25 1/2 all around and see what happens. Remember I am running 235's?
My ride height is:
25 5/16 drivers front
25 5/16 drivers rear
25 1/8 pass front
25 7/16 pass rear
My question is have I done really bad damage to the tire? Quite a bit of shavings have come off the corner of the tire as you can see in the pictures.

doesn't look that bad, did you take the fender liner screw out at the top of the fender?
looks like you did and the tab that holds it has now bent down and is cutting the tire.
Bend that baby back up and raise the whole car a few 1/8ths . . .

235 45 18s? Those are WAY too tall. You should be running 235/40-18s but those still may rub
depending on height and if fenders are rolled. I am running 245/35-18 with no rubbing. The width isn't the problem, it's the height.
