Default heat & humidity- good for turbo or bad?

I was always under the impression that high heat and humidity adversely affected performance in turbos. I have found this to be true in my experience and thought that the less dense, moisture filled air did not lend itself to turbo engines. I know my performance drastically increases in the fall on cold and dry days.
Someone is telling me that it is the opposite- that heat and humidity are better for turbos.
What gives?

BAD! Colder air is more dense which will enable your engine to perform better

Cold air is better for perfomance because it is more dense.

IIRC, for every ~11 &deg cooler the intake charge = a ~1% HP increase (ie. Heat = Bad)

Isn't humid better than dry though? (perhaps in hot weather only?)

That's what I thought but what about the humidity part?

Default Up until about 40 degrees on our cars...

Then our ECU cuts back the boost.

I thought dry air was better than moist. What is the benefit of moisture?
