Default Heated seat problem 2001 S4

My drivers Heated seat barely works. Feels like I have it on a very low setting, no matter if it put it on setting 6. Anyone know what may be the most common problem associated with these seats. Dealer tells me they have to remove seat to diagnose.$$$$$$$$$$

Default I spent $1k replacing the element

I was ripped off, get an estimate before if you decide you need to replace it - its prolly cheaper to buy some nice Sparco's

Default Unless its really important to you I'd skip fixing. It will cost a lot to fix and

you're car will get beaten up in the removal process as well...

Default That's messed up. The part is like a little over 100 bucks and the labor

was like 150 from a local apholstry shop to rnr the seat bottom.

Of course that's just the bottom piece.

Default Sorry to hear- when mine was replaced by CPO they said it would "cost a lot" - had to take car to

upholstery shop, as others have said, the part doesn't cost much

Sounds like it's not worth fixing, save for other fixes.

Default The two heater elements are around $145 each. Expect to pay that in labor.

So $400-450 to get it fixed.
