Heavy duty tie-rod ends from ECS: how do I know these are not A4 parts? Please help.

Yes, but I haven't had confirmed hands on experience with the ECS ends.
The rubber bushing on the one I had allowed the end to move a little, great for killing noise and vibration, but not so good for feel and accuracy.
Audi made different ends for the S4 for a reason, the others will fit and work though.
Meyle needs to make a heavy duty version without the rubber damping.

I think I still have the old end somewhere, I'll knock the pin I put in out and measure the
deflection in the bushing, I think it was around 1/8".
With wide wheels and additional offset it was really noticable having one bushed tie rod end and one solid. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if both sides were the same style.

From the ECS website, it appears that the HD ends no longer have the rubber dampener.

I ordered the Meyle HD tie rods recently from ECS
After the install the steering felt much better, i.e. no slop in the steering. One definately needs an alignment afterwards, the front was at 0.36" toe out, and I had it set for 0 toe.
