no idea...it was shiny black and had a badge that said "1500" on the side...
no chirp or wheelspin when he took off really so he did seem to have traction to back up the torque.
I figure he was probably doing mid 7 to 60 or even a tad lower...that's about the range of a sleeping from idle 996 launch hehehehe.

hehehe okay, I did a little quick research...
typical Chevy, there's about 10,000,000 versions of the Chevy Silverado 1500 and I can't remember what sort of cab it had...the 2-door only has a 200hp 6-cylinder and I'm faaaaairly sure it wasnt that motor hehehehe.
The others are a 285hp/325ft lb torque 5.3 liter 8 cylinder or a 6.0 liter 300hp/360 ft lb torque 6.0 liter 8-cylinder so I guess he had HP on his brain and it sure did seem to have stump-puller gearing hehehe.

Whatever it was, it sounds quick off the line. Nice to know, I'm not the only one who has...
trouble identifying the type of car when presented with a challenge. 95% of the time no problem... "that's a yada yada g3467 series." And other times, usually at night, "that was a black mustang cougar looking thing." Who's got time to study the car when you're busy mashing the pedal!

Ming 2.7t with his chipped A6 only lost to a lightning by less than .1...
at the drag strip. I've seen lightnings run 13.6 with a few pulley mods but this one (which didn't have any significant mods) did a day best of 13.8.
It was pretty cool to see a pickup truck and an A6 drag racing side by side and putting MANY of the other cars at the strip to shame in the process hehehehe.

hehehe yea, I can spot a chevy vs. ford truck and a camaro family car...
but damned if I know a Z28 from a SS or batmobile. There are just too many to keep track of. I'm pretty good about euro or Japanese cars but just don't keep track of American iron like that PLUS they have SO MANY models...check out the 2002 Chevy lineup, they have something like ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MODELS!

http://www.edmunds.com/new/chevrolet/index.html</a

Sounds pretty quick, just watch out for syclones and typhoons...
and I'm not talking about the weather events. Both of those are very fast. Lightnings are quick, but I have seen first hand a lightning and S4(chip exhaust) race. Light turns green, lightning boots off the line, s4 bogs and by 50 the s4 is creeping past the lightning.

Coincidentally
I helped my buddy click off a 10:90 in his typhoon last Saturday...
quickest typhoon to date runs 9:8X at Englishtown (not really a good measure).
quickest syclone goes 10:60 (i think)
