The kit arrived from Griot's with the two horns, wiring (included some length of wire, two Y connectors with 1 female and 2 male ends, and two female connectors), and a relay in case you don't already have horns wired:

I decided to wire each horn separately on each side - I couldn't fit both under the evo intake. So I clipped the Y connectors and crimped the femaled connectors onto the male wires, making 4 connectors:

Luckily, these male connectors fit perfectly into the wiring harness, saving me more wire work. Because I couldn't access the passenger side horn, I left it behind the IC and routed it's harness up under the Evo intake, and wired one horn up:

Unfortunately the stupid bolt that holds down the heat shield screws into a rubber grommet, and with the added length of the horn arm, it wouldn't catch. After a lot of swearing, I concluded that the other bolt was good enough, so I just taped a nut to a wrench, shoved it under the heatshield, and used another bolt to secure the horn. The heat shield is still held in place quite well:

The driver side horn wire was easy to get - it has to be relocated for the RS4 IC's, so it was right at the bottom of the car. I took the OEM horn out and wired up the new horn:

I had to bend the mounting arm so the horn wouldn't face downwards at the bottom of the car - a belly pan would prevent any damage to it from debris, but I wanted to be safe anyway:

I hooked the negative lead on the battery back up, and was done! My roomate is now deaf in one ear because I made him stand nearby in the garage while I tested it. I'll post a video tomorrow so you guys can hear the sound. Now I hope someone tries to cut me off ;-).

I'm going to experiment and see if there is a way we can connect the wiring so that the horn can be activated without having the key in the ignition. I had an incident once when i was waitin in the car for my GF and this guy backs up and almost hits my car. I didn't have the key in the ignition and couldn't sound the horn so i had to stick my head out the door and yell!

I think it's pretty necessary to have horns, I definitely use them around the Bay Area with all the idiot drivers. The OEM horns are more than $200 for the pair, these were only $70...

So, you could just find the wire that comes from the wheel, wire it into the relay, and wire the relay directly to the battery. Shouldn't be too difficult, and should bypass the ignition...
