Default HELP, Anyone With Declining S4 Fuel Milage?

OK, I have been watching my fuel milage for some time now, and I see a disturbing trend. My car has 2,500 miles on it. Until about a month ago, I was getting appx. 240 miles per tank of gas and about 17 mpg on average with probably 80% city / 20% highway driving. However, for the last 3 tanks I have only gotten about 170 - 180 miles per tank and the fuel economy has dropped to less than 13 mpg (according to the computer...yeah, I know its not accurate, but this is a before and after comparison). In the beginning, obviously I was breaking the car in, but I don't believe my driving style has changed real dramatically, in fact on my last tank I tried to drive conservatively to see the results (I think I got about 190 miles on the tank).

Has anyone else had this problem? I didn't buy this car for fuel economy, but 12 mpg is a bit ridiculous (many SUVs do better than this). What gas milage are others getting?

Last two tanks have been about 26.5 mix of city and highway.

MTBE cost you both power and fuel mileage

Default BTW: I live in Houston so the weather/temperature change issue is not that great. (more)

Not sure about MTBE usage though.
