Default HELP ASAP -How do I pull the rear seat frame boarder

Ok we are swapping the back seats. We pulled the bench and the backs with no problems but there are two side pieces that dont' come off with the split back pieces. How do you take these two pieces off (one on each side. Anyone done this/ please help asap!!! IT's cold outside!

Default The ones all the way on the right and left? Just pull towards you.

These two pieces just snap in and out.

Default Push the side pads down, you will see a brass hook on the bottom, then pull the bottom part out...

next pull at the middle and the middle part will release. Then slide the pad upward to release the last tab...it's a pain

Default Re: from Tech

REMOVE THE BACK SEAT. Lift up on the seat bottom to remove it. Next, fold the seat backs down. Third you will have to remove the seat trim between the seat and the door. There are 3 places that the trim is attatched. There is a hook at the bottom, and at the tops. There is a clip in the middle. First, pull the trim down to unhook the bottom. Next, grab near the middle clip and pull. Last, to remove the top clip, lift the trim up and wiggle it around until it comes loose. Repeat on the other side

Default this is the only pic I have...

<center><img src="http://ctny.audiworld.com/mark/a4/system/new/mvc496f.jpg"></center><p>and really doesn't show you much. If I recall properly, you want to unlatch the bottom first.
While holding about half way down the piece, push down and pull forward. Reach/peek in there to help see what you're doing.

Once that is free, there's one about half way up. To unlatch that, push towards the outside of the car and pull out.

Then finally, with the part resting in place, lift the piece up and then pull out. Don't pull out on the bottom only - pull out on the whole piece (try to keep it vertical). If you pull out on just the bottom, it causes the top to bind, as I recall.

Default Actually, the top part is the easiest to come off first. It's a push on top and lift...

it will come out. Then just tilt and pull the whole piece out. I'm surprised that anyone can get them out by taking off the bottom one first - that's a long tab.

Pulling out takes a few seconds, putting the top latch back in takes a few tries and swears
