Default Help / Assistance Needed (APR ecu issues)

i'm still having problems with my chipped ecu.
APR (Patrick) believes that my ecu's problems are coming from a loss of charge (power to the ecu) after it has been sitting for a couple of hours.
His advice was to have the charging system of my car checked out at the dealership.
Has anyone else experienced such a problem?
What exactly should i or the dealership check out to find out whether or not the ecu is losing power after sitting for a few hours?
Could it be something as simple as a weak battery?
Damn i hate electrical gremlins!

Is it happening with your stock ECU?

No, but the stock ecu doesn't have additional programs (security, anti-theft, stock & 93)

Weak battery should show on the voltmeter (when engine/alternator not running)

Use some residue free contact cleaner and thoroughly spray the ECU contacts.

12 volts is normal. Don't think the battery is suspect.
