Help with B&M short shifter

The shifter rod for my 01.5, doesnt have thread on the top to screw on the shifter ****. Anyone know if its the wrong part or do i need a new ****?

wrong part....

the kit for the b5s4 has a threaded shaft, and comes with a shift ****.

Must be the wrong part... Mine has threading on it

Mine is newer though and didn't come with a shift **** like the old ones.

anyone install b&m pn 45142

its for the 01.5 and up
