I bought a used S4 back in in the fall of '04. Anyone know how to find out which chip is in the car? The guy I bought the car from was a corporate executive, and didn't know what kind of chip was put in it before he bought it. Apparently he wasn't too interested. Also, how important is it to have a new catalytic converter put in the car, even though it passed the last emissions inspections fine, and won't need another for 2 years? Anyone out there know a good mechanic/shop in the Northern Virginia/Metro area besides the dealers I can take it to? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

#'s and /or a name on the chip should help you figure out what it has...convertors rarely need replacing unless the y are bad (which would be caused by another problem with the car)
