Help with DTC.....17697 - Turbocharger Bypass Valve (N249)

I keep getting this code. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

This is a valve that is I beleive on top of the intake manifold on the back right of the engine. If it's giving you a DTC then I'd suspect it's bad...If you're under warranty go to the dealer have it replaced.

There is a diagnostic procedure in Bentley but I think I might just take it to the dealer like you said and have it replaced. I'm just wondering how it affects driveability.

It should have no effect on driveability. Normally 249 will actuate the air diverter valves but the system is designed in such a way that even if 249 fails the diverter valves will still function via a backup method...
