HELP! how different is RS4 MAF from an S4 MAF?
i'm not talking just about the housing, but the actual sensor?

Default The RS4 sensor is the same part used in an A8 4.2 so the voltage ranges are going to be different.
What are you trying to do?

Different enough to were they are not interchangable.

Default i have ko4's w/ stock maf; however, i want to change to the rs4 maf .
if the rs4 maf housing is bigger, will the sensor at least fit in an oem s4 maf housing?

Default what's not interchangable, the housing, or the sensor?
wouldn't an oem rs4 sensor at least fit into an oen s4 maf housing?

Default The RS4 housing is bigger. But I even if you could fit the sensor in the S4 housing...
your car would not run right. You need software to match the MAF ranges. Just sticking in a different MAF will not accomplish anything.
