Default help, light smoke coming from the left front wheel area

ok, it was raining today, drove from work, highway 20miles, got stuck in traffic for about 30min, ave 10mph, I get home park the car.

I notice some blueish light smoke form underneath the left side fo the hood, at first I thought engine is hot and its cold outside, then I smelled it, poped the hood I cant tell anything, looks like its coming from somewhere ender the abs module, right around that area. Jacked the car up to check around the wheel and control arms, smoke was coming through there too.

My upper control arm is busted and the outer cv boos is also busted on the same side, found out about this a couple of days ago, already ordered parts. Could this have anything to do with the smoke?

As soon as it stops raining I will inspect further.

Any pointers as to what it might be? Any help is appreciated.

thanks

You sure it's not steam? I don't know that I would want to drive in rain with a ripped CV boot.

Leaky valve cover gaskets or similar? I have that problem and it's evident even at 5 min of idle

Default don't think ripped CV boot would create smoke, but it's def something to fix soon.

bluish smoke probly=oil burning and that probly=VCG and/or cam adj seals

Default I'd put my money on this or the surrounding area..

When the engine cools down run your finger around the underside of the valve cover, behind the head around the cam seal and shine a flashlight down to see if there are any oil drips on the exhaust manifold.

Edit: Cam chain tensioner seal too.
