Default HELP need CV joint immediately!

cannot find this part for my six speed 00 anywhere all the local parts dealers cannot get one local audi dealer says it is out for some time.

anyone have any good leads on where i can order one tonight and get overnight shipping on it?? had to get a rental car and car is stuck in small town 240 miles from here! it sucks worst timing ever!

i need the whole shaft and all not just the joint if that makes any sense

the car wil not move just makes clunking sound when i let the clutch out when i tried to leave last night. felt the loose cv joint in right front side wheel well

That's an unusual failure. Are you sure that something hasn't come adrift?

Default I would have someone confirm that the shaft is turning and not the wheel...

That's assuming you think it is an outer CV joint that has failed. If it is the inner Cv joint then the shaft won't turn. But I would still want to jack the car up and see the output of the differential turning but not the CV-joint. If that's not the case then I'd suspect a problem with the differential and not the CV joint.

A CV joint failure should be pretty catastrophic. It should happen on the road with a load on it. The CV joint boot should be instantly ripped to shreads and I'd expect the CV joint to completely come apart. In fact, it can be quite dangerous.
