Default Help...Need good traffic lawyer in Raleigh, NC area

My boyfriend just go two tickets in two days. One for going with the flow of traffic at 76 in a 55 zone. He gunned him passing a motor coach. The other was for 'running' a red light. Last car in a line to enter an intersection as it changed from yellow to red. Judgement call by cop. Need a really lawyer, someone who can consolidate or talk down some of these tickets. He will be willing to spend some $ on this one.

These tickets are 3 and 4 point violations respectively. He is pretty pissed.

Default I hope he is pissed at himself, he did it. I do wish him luck in getting them reduced, it will be a

challenge as it might tend to show a trend to the judge.

Default If he entered on yellow and didn't clear by red, it's clearly illegal, not a judgment call.

Sorry, but yellow = "caution", not "I can make it!". Or, in the immortal words of Bobby Wheeler.. "Slow down!"

I personally like to stop early for yellows so I can be first at the green and gun the hell out of it.

Default Law may differ by states, but thats NOT the law in California.

You cannot enter the intersection when the light is red. As long as you are in the intersection before it turns red, then you are legally in the clear. Maybe its different where you are, but I doubt it.

Default Its illegal (in iowa) to be in the intersection when the light turns yellow.

Now I know what you are saying "THATS STUPID, thats what yellow is for."

Dont talk to me, talk to iowa :>

(I dont live there anymore, thankfully. Too darn cold in the winter, and no u-turns either)

Default Oops. I didn't realize this was state-by-state...

In VA, where I now live, and in NY, where I grew up, you have to be OUT of the intersection by the time it turns red. How you accomplish that is your problem...
